Coronavirus (COVID-19) update:
At CBT Dorset, we are aware that this is an incredibly stressful time for many people and the uncertainty that this situation brings can create lots of Anxiety, as well as other strong emotions.
Given the current climate and recent guidelines, it has never been more important to look after our mental health and seek support if we are struggling.
We have therefore taken the decision to expand our current remote working clinics, to be able to offer more Video or Phone sessions. These are available in the following format’s:
One off Support session – designed for anyone feeling stressed or Anxious about the current situation, this session will allow you to talk through these feelings with an Accredited CBT therapist who can offer guidance on exercises and strategies to help you cope through this difficult time.
A short course of Support sessions through this time – designed to expand a little on the one off session, this will give you ongoing guidance and support as often as you want it through this time.
A full course of CBT – if this situation has triggered off some underlying Anxiety for you or left you feeling low in mood and isolated, a full course of CBT may help support and guide you through this time as well as enabling you to overcome the underlying difficulties.
If you feel you would benefit from any of these, please do get in contact by email on: firstname.lastname@example.org and we can look to arrange support sessions as soon as possible in a way that suits you and your needs.
Providing quality Cognitive Behavioural therapy for a range of mild to moderate common mental health problems including anxiety and depression.
Most of us experience low mood, anxiety or difficulty coping with life’s stress at some point. Often this will naturally pass, but sometimes things are too difficult to face alone and effective therapy can help support you through those challenging times. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is an evidenced based treatment recommended by NICE guidelines for the treatment of mild to moderate mental health problems including anxiety and depression. This approach to therapy allows people to understand why they feel the way they do, to identify unhelpful patterns they may be stuck in and to develop tools and skills to be able to move forward in life and overcome their current difficulties.
I am BABCP accredited, with many years of training and experience in mental health, specialising in providing therapy for this client group. I am also registered with AXA PPP Healthcare, BUPA, Aviva and Moving Minds and can provide therapy to clients who have AXA , BUPA, Aviva or Moving Minds health insurance.
